Junior judo team to compete at IJF World Tour

TEHRAN, May 09 (MNA) – Iran’s junior judo squad will leave Tehran for Chirchik of Uzbekistan today in order to compete as IJF Junior World Tour.

Uzbekistan will host the international tournament, dubbed Asian Judo Cup U21, which is of IJF Junior World Tour series and will be held from May 11-12.

The event will attract 158 judo fighters from 10 countries and will be followed by a three-day joint training camp with all athletes in attendance.

Iran’s junior judo outfit comprises Soheil Jamalabadi, Abolfazl Mahmoudi, Jafar Firuzabadi, Reza Parsapour, Javad Moradi, Ghasem Baghchaghi, Ali Parhizgar, Hamidreza Malekzadeh as well as Farzin Shahbaz who are led by Ahmad Kazemi and Mohsen Zaharia.

Persian judo practitioners are preparing for Asian Junior Judo Championships as well as World Championships Juniors & Teams 2017.
